Special Memories
Carrol Boyes creations are unique and distinctive and include; kitchenware, homewares, tableware and furniture and are made in pewter, stainless steel and aluminium.
Boyes, is an artist, designer and entrepreneur who combines artistic flair and talent in creating functional homewares.
Carrol's designs hold a special place in my heart- I have one of her spoons sitting proudly in my room, special memories.
What is pewter?
Pewter is very similar to silver. They both have smooth silvery finished but pewter is actually a soft alloy comprising tin, antimony and trace elements of copper. Silver is a naturally occurring non-ferrous metal that is mostly used in its alloy sterling form.
P.s. Those that truly know me are aware of my love of copper... as if I wouldn't love pewter then!

Circular Shelving
I love finding elegant yet quirky furniture. It almost seems natural to have circular shelving units- we have square and rectangle, so why not circular! I'm a little bit excited by these!

Industrial Lighting
My short lived obsession with creating light has returned. This time I am focusing my attention towards industrial lighting and the beauty that is so evident in stripping back light fixtures to the bare minimum.
I might have to make this obsession another DIY project. I cannot wait!

FedEx Logo
I have been back in my graphic design world recently. I think it all started up again when I began creating a wedding invitation for a close friend. Something I always tend to think back to is the FedEx logo while designing. For those who haven't noticed yet there is a secret hiding in the design.
Hint: Look closely between the E and the X, what do you see?
While stumbling my way around google I came across this article. It is essentially an interview with the designer and a quite and interesting read.
